ARE YOU A STRONG COMMUNICATOR, ORGANIZED AND PROVEN LEADER? The Commons in Lincoln is looking for a Plant Operations Director to lead the Independent Living Plant Operations department as we embark on several upgrades and an expansion in the Independent Living. The Independent Living part of our continuing care retirement community is spread across 30+ acres nestled in a beautiful setting with 38 cottage homes and two separate apartment buildings that total 130 additional apartments and over 500,000 sf. This is a highly autonomous position reporting to the Campus Executive Director.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage all IT, maintenance and housekeeping functions within The Commons in Lincoln’s Independent Living community
- Oversee staff, payroll, operational expenses and supply and capital expenditures
- Communicate and coordinate people and tasks to accomplish repairs and alterations to buildings and equipment systems
- Ensure that the building and grounds are orderly and in good repair
- Provide technical support, product information, research, and quality assurance guidance
- Establish and monitor a preventive maintenance program that will promote a sense of well-being and aesthetic appeal for residents and staff
- Maintaining OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and fire code compliance
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / LICENSURE - CERTIFICATION
- If you possess a strong working knowledge of applicable building systems including mechanical, electrical and plumbing with a strong emphasis on HVAC, let’s talk.
