Catholic Religious Education Coordinator
Location: Whiteman AFB Chapel (509 BW/HC)
Contract Type: 12-month base, with 4 option years
Hours: 20 hours per week
The role
Are you committed to the Catholic faith and ready to support a diverse religious community? Do you have experience in religious education, program coordination, and volunteer management? We are looking for a dedicated Catholic Religious Education (RE) Coordinator to lead the religious education programs at Whiteman AFB Chapel.
As the RE Coordinator, you will oversee the Catholic chapel ministry, working closely with the Catholic priest and coordinating programs that foster spiritual growth. This position requires someone who is proactive, motivated, and ready to engage with the broader faith community.

Key Responsibilities

Curriculum Development: Work with the Catholic priest to design an annual Catholic RE curriculum that meets Archdiocese guidelines.

Program Management: Implement various RE programs for both children and adults, including Sacramental programs (First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation), RCIA, and seasonal liturgical programs.

Volunteer Recruitment and Training: Recruit, train, and ensure background checks for RE teachers and volunteers.

Faith Family Assessment: Manage the Faith Family Assessment program for all RE students.

Publicity & Communication: Prepare promotional materials for RE programs and ensure they are submitted to the Catholic Chaplain for approval.

Facility Coordination: Ensure the facilities are ready for use before programs begin and submit requests in advance for any needed facilities or resources.

Safety & Compliance: Ensure all RE teachers and volunteers are informed of local safety requirements and complete necessary background checks.

Report weekly to the Catholic Chaplain on RE matters and attend the Catholic Pastoral Advisory Council meetings.
