Lead Installer Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of Residential Service HVAC Installers in the installation, retrofitting, and replacement of HVAC systems in residential properties.
- Coordinate and oversee installation projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and project timelines.
- Interpret HVAC blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings to plan and execute installations efficiently.
- Collaborate with clients and provide expert recommendations on equipment selection, system design, and energy-efficient solutions.
- Conduct site assessments to evaluate existing HVAC systems, determine installation requirements, and identify potential challenges.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other trades to ensure smooth project execution.
- Install, connect, and test HVAC components, including air handlers, condensers, ductwork, thermostats, and refrigerant lines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues, making necessary adjustments and modifications as needed.
- Train and mentor junior installers, providing guidance on best practices, safety procedures, and efficient installation techniques.
- Ensure accurate documentation of installation activities, including equipment specifications, system configurations, and any modifications made during the installation process.
- Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and emerging technologies in the HVAC field.
Lead Installer Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid HVAC installer license or certification.
- Proven experience as a Residential Service HVAC Installer, including lead or supervisory experience.
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and installation methods.
- Strong understanding of HVAC codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret HVAC blueprints and technical drawings.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality workmanship and attention to detail.
- Proficient in using HVAC tools, equipment, and testing devices.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time and resources.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions and confined spaces.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
