Machin Architectural Millwork is a custom architectural millwork company specializing in high-quality commercial and residential woodworking projects. We design, fabricate, and install custom cabinetry, architectural millwork, reception desks, wall paneling, built-in casework, and specialty woodwork.
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Millwork Labourer / Cabinet Maker with 2–3 years of cabinetry or architectural millwork experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of assisting with the fabrication, assembly, finishing, and installation of custom millwork products.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the fabrication and assembly of custom cabinetry.
- Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and production specifications.
- Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Measure, cut, sand, assemble, and prepare millwork components for finishing and installation.
- Install cabinetry, trim, mouldings, hardware, and architectural woodwork on project sites.
- Maintain quality control throughout production and installation.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
- Work collaboratively with shop personnel, installers, and project managers to meet project schedules.
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience in cabinetry, or woodworking.
- Experience with woodworking equipment such as table saws, panel saws, routers, edge banders, sanders, and other shop machinery.
- Ability to read shop drawings and accurately measure materials.
- Strong understanding of woodworking techniques and construction methods.
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and perform physically demanding work.
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with residential millwork projects.
- Finish carpentry and installation experience.
- Familiarity with laminate, veneer, hardwood, and solid surface materials.
- OSHA 10 certification (preferred but not required).
