Business Development Associate / Senior Associate, M&A - $60,000 to $75,000, based on experience, OTE of $150,000 to $300,000 – United States (Remote)

The role

Evercap Advisors is looking for a Business Development Associate / Senior Associate to source investment and acquisition opportunities for private equity firms, portfolio companies, and strategic buyers.

This is not a financial modeling role. It is a people-focused position built around conversations, trust, and momentum. You will speak with business owners, introduce opportunities, and guide discussions through the early stages of the acquisition process.

Key Responsibilities

Contact business owners by phone and email to explore sale opportunities.
Build relationships with owners and Evercap’s clients (the buyers).
Move opportunities through introductory calls, buyer-to-owner discussions, NDAs, and due diligence requests.
Act as the main point of contact for private equity and strategic acquirer clients.
Keep CRM records accurate, organized, and current.
Record notes, next steps, and follow-up actions.

You will not be starting from scratch. Our research team builds prospect lists, finds contact details, and drafts outreach. Our Managing Director will train you and join weekly client calls to support you when questions arise.

The person

You should be curious, competitive, coachable, and comfortable taking ownership. You should enjoy speaking with business owners, writing clearly, staying organized, and building relationships.

Associate applicants will have 0 to 2 years of relevant experience. Senior Associate applicants will have 3 or more years, or equivalent deal or business development experience.

You must be available during core U.S. business hours.
