JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION SUMMARY
The Thermal Air Duct Installer has a pivotal role in the success of our organization. This role will leverage experience gained in the industry for duct and equipment installation on new construction and remodel. You will be key in the overall growth of Thermal Air, and we are invested in creating opportunities that allow this role to progressively take on more responsibility within our organization. PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
- Installation of HVAC Ductwork, grease duct and Equipment (Package, Split System, Energy efficiency equipment, kitchen hoods and exhaust.)
- Layout, perform take off with cut sheets, fabricate and install various duct and duct fittings as instructed.
- Responsible for assuring those good housekeeping practices are maintained at the jobsite.
- Responsible for providing feedback to the Project Manager regarding cost saving opportunities and customer issues. Installer to communicate with PM regarding change-order requests (COR) and requests for information
(RFI).
- Accurately record all materials received and/or returned from job
- Expedite equipment, parts and materials per company policy and procedures when necessary for job completion.
- Responsible to perform all work in the most expeditious and cost-efficient means possible while assuring customer satisfaction.
- Ensure all safety requirements are being met throughout the project, and review as needed with Safety
Manager
KEY COMPETENCIES

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, equipment specifications, mechanical regulations.
- Ability to accurately install duct, duct accessories, and HVAC equipment by performing:
- Job layout and duct design, take off and detailing.
- Duct and duct accessory installation per industry “best practice” and company guidelines.
- Successfully maintaining a positive attitude while working in a team environment.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office Suite, Windows, Adobe
- Ability to think critically, in the assessment of situations that will help team move forward
- Excellent communication abilities to convey information to client and office staff
- Maintain professional relationships with leadership and worksite teams
- Organizational and administrative accountability for project outcomes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to think individually as well as collaboratively when approaching personnel issues
- Ability to read, interpret, and execute safety measures, procedure manuals, and written correspondence
- Self-starter/Excellent work ethic
- Proactive approach to problem-solving, and process improvement

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) Required
- Minimum of 3 years duct install experience
- Current State Driver’s License & Clean Driving Record required
- Background check (Required)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to spend prolonged periods of time standing, sitting, or walking
- Ability to work in enclosed environments exposed to excessive noise, and cold or heat
- Must be able to lift at least 50lbs
- Possess tools needed
