HVAC/REFRIGERATION SERVICE TECHNICIAN JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Utilize your strong skills and experience to troubleshoot, repair and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
- Diagnose causes of breakdowns, test parts with appropriate instruments, disassemble and assemble parts, and make necessary repairs to equipment and associated components.
- Troubleshooting and repairing HVAC systems such as rooftop package units, split systems, make up air units, and ventilation systems.
- Refrigeration equipment knowledge: reach-in and walk-in coolers, and ice machines
- Perform repairs, overhauls and start-ups of commercial HVAC systems
- Perform preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacement and modifications
- Control wiring and high voltage
- Prepares for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, gathering material and coordinating on-site work with customer and dispatcher
Primary areas of expertise include:
- HVAC & RTU systems
- Reach-in and walk-in coolers
- Ice machines
- Mechanical equipment
- General Restaurant Equipment
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid Driver's License with clean driving record
- EPA Type II certification (Required)
- Communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations
- Must be able to work independently and without supervision in a team environment
- 5 years of experience required
- Must have the ability to travel
