Primary Services is hiring Apprentice Electricians in Dallas–Fort Worth!
Step into a hands-on career with real growth opportunities while gaining practical experience in residential electrical systems. In this role, you’ll work directly alongside Master Electricians on battery backup systems, generators, and home electrical projects. Primary Services provides paid training toward your Texas Residential Wireman License, helping you build the skills needed to advance to Journeyman certification and a long-term career in the electrical trade.
Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed electricians with repairs, installations, and maintenance of residential electrical systems, battery backups, and generators.
- Perform field tasks such as wire pulls, panel handling, battery replacements, and load testing.
- Learn diagnostic tools including multimeters, clamp meters, and thermal cameras.
- Maintain safe, organized work sites and follow PPE, ladder safety, and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Track on-the-job training hours for TDLR licensing.
Requirements:
- Must currently hold OR be eligible to obtain a Texas Apprentice Electrician License (TDLR).
- Must have reliable transportation to job sites and meeting points across Dallas–Fort Worth.
- Must be physically able to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work outdoors/rooftops.
- Must have background in construction, electrical, HVAC, or other mechanical trades.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Familiarity with battery backup systems, panel upgrades, or generators (Generac, FranklinWH).
- OSHA-10 certification or basic safety training.
