Role Overview
Osta is seeking a Master Electrician of Record to serve as the licensed professional of record for its Texas division. The selected candidate will ensure that all electrical contracting activities comply with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) and the National Electrical Code (NEC). This role is part-time, primarily advisory, and ideal for a licensed professional who values compliance, safety, and partnership with a modern contractor operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the official Master Electrician of Record for Osta’s Texas electrical contractor license.
- Qualify and oversee company projects to ensure compliance with all TDLR rules and the Texas Electrical Safety and Licensing Standards.
- Provide expert guidance on electrical code, licensing, and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with Osta’s operations team to confirm license coverage and regulatory readiness for each project.
- Maintain and update documentation required by TDLR.
- Notify Osta’s leadership of any regulatory or compliance updates affecting license status or operational requirements.
Requirements
- Active Texas Master Electrician License in good standing.
- Minimum 4 years of trade experience, including 2 years within the past 10 years.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Texas electrical codes, TDLR regulations, and permitting processes.
- Prior experience qualifying, supervising, or overseeing electrical contracting work preferred.
- Strong professional integrity, reliability, and attention to compliance.
- Must be regularly engaged with Osta in the business of contracting within the licensed classification.
Compensation & Commitment
- Monthly stipend of $1,500 for license qualification, compliance oversight, and periodic consultation.
- Flexible, part-time engagement (approx. 5–10 hours per month).
