Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Master Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in electrical systems, including high and low voltage applications, and will be responsible for overseeing electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance in various settings. This role requires a strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC), as well as the ability to read blueprints and schematics. The Master Electrician will ensure compliance with safety standards while delivering high-quality workmanship on construction sites.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters.
- Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine layout and installation requirements.
- Ensure compliance with NEC regulations and local codes during all electrical work.
- Collaborate with other trades on construction sites to ensure project timelines are met.
- Conduct inspections of electrical systems to identify hazards or deficiencies.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior electricians and apprentices.
- Manage renovation projects involving electrical upgrades or modifications.
- Running the service department under the supervision of the operations manager
- This position is considered to be Service Manager of the electrical service department
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Master Electrician with a strong background in both commercial and industrial settings.
- In-depth knowledge of high voltage and low voltage systems.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is preferred.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents effectively.
- Team Player and leadership skills to run an effective team
- Computer based systems including Microsoft, adobe, CRM'S and Service based software
- Tier One Manager skill set
- Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) regulations.
- Previous experience on construction sites is essential.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
