About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and licensed Master Plumber to join our team and support
residential and commercial plumbing projects in Washington, DC. This position requires
full compliance with District of Columbia licensing requirements, strong technical
expertise, and the ability to supervise plumbing work safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee and perform installation, repair, and maintenance of water and sewer
systems
• Ensure all work complies with DC plumbing code, permitting requirements, and
safety standards
• Supervise and guide journeyman and apprentice plumbers on-site
• Plan and coordinate plumbing tasks, materials, and inspections
• Interpret plumbing drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Diagnose system issues and recommend effective solutions
• Communicate with project managers, inspectors, and clients
• Maintain accurate documentation for work performed, inspections, and permits
• Support utility service line replacements (water and sewer), where applicable
• Ensure jobsite cleanliness, safety compliance, and quality control
Required Qualifications
• Valid Washington, DC Master Plumber License (DC Department of Licensing &
Consumer Protection)
• DC Plumber/Gasfitter License
• Minimum 5+ years of licensed experience, with strong field expertise
• Knowledge of DC plumbing code, permit processes, and inspection requirements
• Ability to supervise crews and coordinate complex installations
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in confined spaces, and perform physical tasks as needed
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in utility service line installation (water/wastewater)
• Backflow certification
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
• Knowledge of trench safety, shoring, and excavation operations
• Experience working with DC Water projects or municipal agencies
