Job Title: Industrial HVAC Technician (Specialized R&D Systems)

About the Role
Stowe Technologies is the creator of DynoAir, a specialized air handling system designed specifically for internal combustion engine R&D.
We are looking for an experienced technician with a flexible skillset to help us manufacture, install, and service these units. The position is roughly a 50/50 split between shop-based fabrication in our shop in Yadkinville, NC and field service/commissioning in primarily the Mooresville, Concord, and Charlotte areas, though some out of state travel is required.
What You’ll Do
- Field Service: Independently diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair DynoAir and related equipment at client R&D sites.
- Manufacturing: Assist in building DynoAir units from start to finish in our Yadkinville shop. This includes:
- Light fabrication work
- Assembling refrigeration piping (brazing and pro-press)
- Installing condenser and DX coils
- Charging 20-60 ton systems
- Wiring- both low and high voltage
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience: 7+ years in industrial or heavy commercial HVAC.
- Certifications: EPA Section 608 certification
- Skills: Solid working knowledge of industrial refrigerant systems and large-scale charging. Proficient in brazing and assembling refrigerant piping from stock materials. Strong trouble shooting and field skills. Knowledge of ALC WebCTRL software a definite plus.
- Mindset: You thrive when working independently and take pride in "owning" a project from the shop floor to the client’s facility.
- Reliability: Able to represent Stowe Technologies professionally at high-end R&D labs and racing facilities.
