HVAC General Manager
Greater Boston Area
$105,000–$135,000 Base + Profit Sharing
Target Earnings: $125,000–$160,000+
This is not a “sit behind a desk all day” GM role.
We’re looking for a licensed HVAC leader who still enjoys being involved in the field, solving problems, helping technicians grow, and building something the right way.
This is a rare opportunity to step into a growing HVAC division with real influence over the direction of the department. The company already has an established customer base, strong reputation, and leadership that genuinely wants to build a long-term, high-level HVAC operation with the right person leading it.
In the beginning, this role will be a mix of field leadership and operational management. As the department grows, the position will naturally transition into a more office and operations-focused leadership role.
The ideal person is not just technically strong. They understand how to build systems, develop technicians, create structure, protect quality, and grow a department without sacrificing culture or customer trust.
This is a strong fit for someone who:
Wants ownership and influence
Leads by example
Takes pride in developing people
Understands both the technical and business side of HVAC
Wants to help build something long-term instead of just punching a clock
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead and grow the HVAC division operationally and technically
Support technicians in the field with diagnostics and training
Oversee scheduling, workflow, quality control, and customer experience
Help build scalable systems and SOPs as the division grows
Ensure compliance, permitting, and licensing requirements are maintained
Assist with hiring, onboarding, and mentoring future technicians
Work closely with ownership on growth strategy and long-term direction
Maintain high standards for workmanship, ethics, and customer trust
What They’re Looking For
Active Massachusetts HVAC license required
15+ years of HVAC experience
Strong background in either residential OR commercial HVAC
Leadership or management experience leading technicians/teams
Strong diagnostic ability and technical credibility
Ability to build structure while maintaining a strong team culture
Comfortable balancing field support with operational leadership
Experience with ServiceTitan or similar software is a plus
What You’ll Get
$105K–$135K base salary depending on experience
Profit-sharing opportunity tied directly to division growth
PTO and paid holidays
Health benefits
Long-term leadership opportunity
Real influence in building and shaping a department
A team environment without heavy corporate bureaucracy
This is an opportunity for someone who wants more than just a title. It’s for someone who wants to help build a department they’re proud of with a team that respects quality work and good people.
