Machinist (CNC Machinist)– $23.00-$31.00 Per Hour DOE (Plus $2.00 per hour shift premium for 2nd and 3rd shifts) – Armstrong or Estherville, Iowa
The Role

We are looking for a skilled Machinist to join our manufacturing team in either Armstrong or Estherville, Iowa. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on CNC Machinist who enjoys working with precision equipment, solving problems and seeing the results of their work every day.
You will set up and operate CNC machines, interpret blueprints and process documentation, inspect finished components and help maintain a safe, organised working environment. You'll play an important role in producing high-quality parts while working alongside a supportive and experienced team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Set up machines using blueprints, fixtures, gauges, and process documentation
- Install and position tooling, inserts, fixtures, and machine components
- Set machine controls, feed rates, speeds, and cutting depths
- Run first-off inspections and verify dimensions against specifications
- Monitor machining operations and make tooling adjustments when required
- Carry out periodic inspections using precision measuring equipment
- Complete machine maintenance checks and monitor fluid levels
- Record production information accurately
- Maintain a clean and organised work area using 5S principles
- Support and train new machine operators when needed
- Work closely with production, scheduling, and support teams
- Follow all quality and safety procedures

The Person
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience operating and setting up CNC machinery
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Experience using precision measuring equipment
- Knowledge of manufacturing quality standards
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail
- Good problem-solving skills and sound judgement
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Willingness to learn new processes and support other departments
- Good communication and teamwork skills
