Now we’re offering something different: an opportunity to join the founding team of One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning of Greater Hartford and help build the kind of HVAC company great technicians actually want to work for.

We’re looking for an experienced Connecticut D-2 or S-2 licensed HVAC Service Technician who takes pride in diagnosing problems correctly, communicating honestly with homeowners, performing quality work, and continuing to develop professionally.

This isn’t about finding someone to simply run calls.

We’re looking for someone who wants to help build something.

COMPENSATION

$40–$50/hour base pay, depending on license, experience, and technical capability.

Strong performers have the opportunity to earn $90,000–$120,000+ annually based on base compensation, overtime, incentives, and performance.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Service Technician, you’ll represent our company in customers’ homes throughout Greater Hartford.

You’ll:

Diagnose residential heating and cooling problems accurately
Service and repair furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and related HVAC equipment
Perform preventative maintenance and system inspections
Explain findings and repair options clearly to homeowners
Provide recommendations without high-pressure tactics
Complete repairs according to manufacturer specifications and company standards
Maintain accurate service documentation
Follow all safety, EPA, and Connecticut licensing requirements
Protect customers’ homes and property
Maintain a clean and professional company vehicle
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule
Help establish the service standards and culture of our growing company

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Required:

Active Connecticut D-2 or S-2 HVAC license
EPA Section 608 certification
Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
Strong HVAC troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Residential HVAC service experience
Ability to communicate professionally with homeowners
Commitment to safety and quality workmanship

HIGHLY VALUED

We’d especially like to meet technicians with experience in:

Heat pumps
Gas furnaces
Central air-conditioning systems
Electrical troubleshooting
Indoor air quality
High-efficiency equipment
Residential system replacement recommendations
Training or mentoring apprentices
ServiceTitan or similar field-service technology

ServiceTitan experience is helpful, but we can teach software. We’re much more interested in your technical ability, character, communication skills, and willingness to learn.
