Appliance Repair Technician

Location: Rogers, MN

Job Summary:
The Appliance Repair Technician is crucial to the success, serving as the company's representative in customers' homes. Technicians provide in-home field service for various appliances, including refrigerators, dishwashers, stoves, microwaves, washers, and dryers. Responsibilities include diagnosing appliance issues, performing repairs, and communicating professionally with customers. Technicians utilize diagnostic tools, trace electrical circuits, and conduct mechanical evaluations, while respecting the customer’s home environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Driving to multiple customer homes daily to conduct repairs on refrigerators, dishwashers, stoves, microwaves, washers and dryers.
Diagnosis of symptoms by evaluating function, tracing electrical circuits, using diagnostic tools, using multi-meters, performing mechanical evaluations, researching common failures and technical documents.
Respecting customers home environment.
Communicating with customers professionally to understand their appliance issues, present findings, present quotes, schedule follow up visits and close sales.
Performing research using a variety of technical resources to identify parts or repair processes.
Contacting and communicating with in-house and external technical support resources where needed.
Ordering, tracking and receiving parts to conduct repairs and replenish van stock.
Using job tracking software to research and record all aspects of service visits and repair status.
Informing customers of available added services such as dryer vent cleaning, preventive maintenance and appliance protection plans.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in in-home appliance repair for a full range of consumer appliances.
Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
Capability to lift 75 lbs.
