Licensed Electrician — Residential
Licensed Electricians typically work 40+ hours per week and earn $75,000–$145,000+ annually, based on performance. Residential experience is required.
Job Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair residential and light commercial electrical systems in compliance with State of Texas building and electrical codes
- Troubleshoot electrical systems, components, and equipment using appropriate testing tools and hand tools
- Inspect electrical systems to identify hazards, defects, and necessary repairs while ensuring code compliance
- Test electrical wiring, circuits, fixtures, and equipment using devices such as voltmeters and ohmmeters to ensure safety and system integrity
- Perform physically demanding work, including lifting, digging, climbing, and working in confined spaces such as attics
- Learn and follow company systems, processes, and best practices
Qualifications
- Active Master, Journeyman, or Residential Wireman license with the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation
- Minimum 1 year of residential electrical experience
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a drug test and background check
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Proven work ethic with leadership capability
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Physical & Mental Requirements
- Ability to regularly lift 75 pounds and repeatedly lift 40–50 pounds
- Ability to climb, kneel, bend, crawl, and stoop for extended periods
- Comfortable working in confined or elevated spaces such as attics, ladders, and tunnels
- Ability to carry heavy materials up and down stairs
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions, including heat, rain, snow, or sleet
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain professional and adaptable when handling customer concerns
- Must successfully complete a Job Physical Assessment
