Job Summary
Tekk Force is currently hiring for Traveling Journeyman electrician. This position is a Direct Hire position.
The role of the Journeyman Service Electrician is to maintain, oversee, and collaborate with crew of electrical apprentices and installers. A Journeyman will work under the guidance of a Project Manager and contribute to several job specific activities including employee trainings: alternations, repair of electrical system.
Responsibilities/ Physical Demands:
- Installation of various electrical raceways including but not limited to EMT, GRC, PVC and cable tray.
- Installation and knowledge of an assortment of electrical equipment including disconnects, transformers, panel boards, switch gear, motor control centers and VFDs.
- Testing of new or existing electrical systems utilizing tools including voltmeter ohmmeter, insulation testing equipment to determine compliance and or where issues may be occurring, the safety of the system to ensure compatibility.
- Participate in daily and weekly safety meetings.
- Enter employees’ time daily and submit in a timely manner.
- Document actions, testing results, observations, final diagnosis of the situation and steps taken to resolve issues for each job or situation.
- Inspect, test diagnosis, troubleshoot, and repair electrical system issues, safety hazards, and malfunctions.
While performing necessary job functions, the electrician will:
- Stand for extended periods of time
- Bend/Crouch/ Crawl
- Climb Ladder/ Scaffolds/ Poles
- Utilize Equipment – Forklift, Aerial Lefts etc.
- Lift 50 + pounds
Travel Required:
STATES: Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and other states (not limited to)

- Conduct Safety Meetings, given the material.
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, blueprints and schematics.
