Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our Grand Prairie team. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems in a heavy industrial plant environment with minimal supervision.
Schedule
- Day shift
- Flexible start time
- Monday–Friday
- 10–12 hour shifts (overtime available)
Key Responsibilities
- Safely maintain and repair a wide range of industrial electrical systems and equipment
- Support 480V systems, including conduit installation, wiring, and equipment connections
- Perform polarity checks and safely reverse polarity when required
- Procure and manage electrical supplies and materials as needed
- Troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair electrical circuits, controls, and instrumentation
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders
- Install, modify, and upgrade plant electrical systems
- Inspect equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
Qualifications
✔ Journeyman Electrician experience in industrial or manufacturing environments
✔ Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
✔ Experience working with 480V electrical systems
✔ Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings
✔ Experience with ordering electrical supplies and materials
✔ Valid driver’s license
✔ Ability to work in outdoor and varying weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications
- Journeyman’s card/license
- Willingness to travel up to 75%
