Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair residential electrical systems in existing homes
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete wiring, conduit installation, and fixture mounting
- Conduct inspections of electrical systems to ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and safety standards
- Assist with low voltage wiring, including data cabling, and other specialized circuits
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including test results using tools like ohmmeters and multimeters
- Collaborate with construction teams on site setup, framing carpentry tasks, and ensuring project timelines are met
Skills
- Prior experience as an electrician is a plus.
- Proficiency with hand tools &power tools.
- Knowledge of low voltage systems, high voltage safety procedures, and NEC regulations.
- Experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety protocols
- Familiarity with using ohmmeters for testing circuits and continuity checks
- Basic frame carpentry skills are beneficial for certain installation tasks
- Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent attention to detail
- Effective communication skills to work seamlessly within a team environment
