5 Star Plumbing is seeking an Experienced Plumber to join our team, specializing in residential and light commercial plumbing systems. We are committed to delivering quality work for our customers, and exceptional customer service.
Pay is hourly plus commission.
Candidates will typically start their day at our office, and leave from the office to the jobs scheduled for the day. Our main service areas include Taylor, Dearborn Heights, Dearborn, Southgate, Allen Park, Redford, Inkster, Lincoln Park, Livonia, Brownstown, New Boston, and Farmington Hills.

Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To:
- Install, repair, and maintain complete plumbing systems in residential and light commercial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and building specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing issues, including leaks, clogs, and equipment malfunctions, ensuring optimal performance.
- Lead and oversee other plumbers, providing effective leadership, guidance, and mentorship to apprentices.
- Ensure all work complies with engineering specifications, local plumbing codes, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with the General Contractor's on-site Supervisor throughout the project duration.
- Maintain accurate and detailed logs, including job sites, time, equipment, materials used, and recommendations for follow-up.
- Provide exceptional customer service, and maintain a professional demeanor.
- Be proactive in training and mentoring apprentices to help them grow and develop in their plumbing careers.
Qualifications:
- Licensing: (Preferred) Journeyman License.
- Customer Service: Ability to deliver exceptional service
- Physical Stamina: Capable of lifting a minimum of 50 lbs and being on your feet and knees. We constantly need to dolly water heaters, carry laundry tubs, etc.
- Problem-Solving: Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to work independently while making sound decisions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a background check.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
