Job Duties:
Position Summary
The qualified electrician is responsible for providing the technical expertise to safely plan and perform electrical work for residential solar projects and who will be responsible for various projects in the contracted job including being able to fill out the proper paperwork for each job completed.
Job Requirements:
- Install and Commission.
- Must be punctual to all job sites.
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
- Safely plan and complete Main Panel Upgrades (MPU), GMA’s, Battery backup installs, and other major electrical work.
- Complete MSP rebuilds and Upgrades.
- Interpret blueprints, structural, and electrical information for the assembly of Solar arrays, interpret PV line drawings, product literature, and referencing the NEC.
- Transport, assemble, and install solar equipment on the job site with high attention to job quality and safety.
- DC and AC electrical runs, including work on rooftops, tall ladders, and tight spaces.
- Maintain high levels of quality assurance and quality control with an emphasis on crew safety.
- Communicate with utility companies, inspectors, and homeowners.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions and operational issues.
- Remove debris and discarded material from job site.
- Complete projects promptly, efficiently and within established policies and procedures.
- Ensure that the work is performed in a neat and workmanlike manner and compliant with all State and local codes and standards; Follow OSHA, NEC, AHJ and Utility requirements.
- Provide own hand tools for required jobs.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Journeyman/Journeywoman OR Wireman Electrician (proof of license must be furnished).
- Must have a minimum of HS diploma or GED.
- Valid driver license and clean driving record.
- More than 1 year of solar experience preferred.
- Electrical and roofing experience preferred as well as experience bending EMT conduit.
- Must have full range or mobility in upper and lower body; ability to work in various positions and ability to lift, pull and push materials and equipment weighing approximately 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
- Have a working knowledge of OSHA standards, current NEC codes, company safety programs, and policies relative to the installation of these systems, and enforcing these safety standards with all personnel under your supervision.
- Excellent knowledge of basic engineering and construction principles and methods.
- Must have working knowledge and experience replacing residential electrical services and distribution panels.
- Must be experienced with all required hand and power tools associated with the electrical trade.
- Ability to withstand harsh weather.

Pay: $72,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
