Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Commercial Journeyman Electrician for a long-term project in Mesquite, TX. This role offers consistent work and plenty of overtime opportunities. The ideal candidate has strong commercial experience and can work independently while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial settings
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings
- Run and bend conduit (EMT, Rigid, PVC)
- Pull wire and perform terminations for panels, switchgear, and equipment
- Install lighting systems, fixtures, and controls
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues
- Ensure all work meets NEC code and safety standards
- Work with and assist apprentices as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe job site
Requirements:
- Active Journeyman Electrician license (if required by state/local jurisdiction)
- Minimum 6+ years of commercial electrical experience
- Strong conduit bending and installation skills
- Experience with wire pulling and terminations
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and specs
- Knowledge of NEC codes
- Reliable transportation and own tools
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in various environments (indoor/outdoor)
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
