We are looking for an experienced and Licensed Electrician to undertake installing, repairing, and maintaining road-side electronic equipment including but not limited to, signal systems, traffic monitoring devices, sensors, communications / networking equipment, CCTV, Dynamic Message Signs, ruggedized computers, fiber-optic components, industrial controls, audio and video systems, radio transmitters / receivers, and antennas. Due to the high amount of risk pertaining to this job, electricians must be first and foremost responsible individuals with great attention to safety precautions. Day and night and on call work is required, including overtime hours. You will also be required to travel 25-30% through North Carolina as we have projects ranging from Raleigh to Charlotte. Company vehicle, gas card will be provided when traveling outside of your region.
Requirements:
- Active Journeyman Electrical License (Master Electrician preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in transportation-related or ITS electrical systems
- Must meet all qualifications of Electrician I
- Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- NFPA 70E certification
- OSHA 30 certification
- Experience with overhead and underground utility recognition and coordination
- Ability to install, maintain, and repair:
- Electrical panels
- CT cabinets
- Power supplies
- Control systems
- Ability to maintain license and complete required continuing education per Georgia state regulations
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Windows-based systems
- Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record (CDL is a plus)
- IMSA Signal Technician Certification preferred
- Experience working with Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) strongly preferred
