Position: Electrician
Job Description:
The Electrician is responsible for the installation, repair, maintenance and testing of electrical and other systems in commercial, industrial and residential buildings. The Electrician also maintains a safe working environment by complying with safety requirements, regulations and company policies.
Core Duties:
- Install, repair, maintain and maintaining electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and residential buildings.
- Test and inspect systems to ensure compatibility with existing equipment and facilities.
- Troubleshoot mechanical systems for compatibility with existing equipment.
- Maintain records of system performance and functionality.
- Perform carpentry duties such as hanging fixtures, wiring, hanging switches, junction boxes, conduit, conduit boxes, panels etc.
- Install security devices (fire Alarm Systems) according to company guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required for this position; Must have a clean driving record and be able to safely operate company vehicles.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Able to stand for long periods of time in a non-air-conditioned environment.
- Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Must be able to follow instructions accurately and maintain a high level of accuracy while performing the duties listed below.
- Must be able to work independently with little supervision.
- Must be able to use basic hand tools as well as an electric saw.
