Position Summary
The Tool & Die Maker is responsible for maintaining production, quality performance levels, and the efficient use of manufacturing equipment in accordance with his/her knowledge and training in conformance with established Work Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practice.
Essential Functions
- Must be able to read blueprints
- Must be able to operate all machine shop equipment
- Milling machines (manual and CNC), lathes, surface grinders and other equipment
- Experience servicing repairing progressive high speed stamping dies
- Experience servicing and repairing high cavitation plastic injection molds
- Must be able to work unsupervised to a tolerance of .0001”
- Responsible for setting up and troubleshooting molds and dies – Schaal high speed stamping presses, Sumitomo plastic mold injection machines
Your Profile
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· High School or GED equivalent required.
· 4 years minimum experience in machine shop role.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
· Ability to speak, read and write English in order to understand operating and other related procedures
· Able to communicate goals in an inspirational manner that makes them worthy of pursuit
· Ability to perform basic arithmetic skills.
· Performs basic computer skills
· Ability to learn and implement GMP, SOPs and other procedures.
