Glass Installer
Position Summary
Seeking an experienced, dependable, and detail-oriented Glass Installer to join our team.
The primary function of this position is to install glass shower doors, enclosures, mirrors, railings, walls, countertops, and other glass-centric products and hardware components in residential and commercial spaces. This position requires the ability to work independently, as part of a team, and with direct supervision when needed.
The ideal candidate is technically inclined, takes pride in high-quality craftsmanship, communicates professionally with customers and team members, and can complete installations safely, efficiently, and accurately.
Responsibilities

Provide reliable, professional, and high-quality customer service and consultation while on residential and commercial jobsites.

Install glass shower doors, shower enclosures, mirrors, glass railings, walls, countertops, and other custom glass products.

Install metal framework, channels, hardware, brackets, hinges, and related components.

Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, measurements, specifications, and installation instructions.

Ensure all installations meet company quality standards, manufacturer specifications, and applicable building and safety codes.

Maintain proper truck stock, tools, equipment, and installation materials in coordination with the warehouse team.

Organize and utilize technical resources, materials, equipment, and information to efficiently complete assigned projects.

Monitor project progress and ensure assigned tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.

Complete and submit required job documentation, productivity reports, photos, and other task-related information in a timely manner.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Protect customers' homes, businesses, and property while performing installations.

Demonstrate a strong work ethic, attention to detail, professionalism, and accountability.

Assist with other projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
-
High School Diploma or GED.

Minimum of 3 years of relevant glass installation experience.

Working knowledge of glass installation tools, equipment, materials, and various grades and types of glass.

Experience installing custom shower glass, mirrors, hardware, metal framework, or similar products.

Working knowledge of applicable local, state, and national building and safety codes.

Ability to read drawings, blueprints, CAD layouts, measurements, and installation instructions and perform installations accordingly.

Strong measuring, layout, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently with limited supervision while also contributing effectively in a team environment.

Dependable, energetic, self-motivated, and eager to learn.

Demonstrated job stability and professional work ethic.

Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Ability to successfully complete required pre-employment screening.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Vocational or technical degree in construction, glazing, fabrication, carpentry, or a related field.

Experience in the construction, custom glass, metal framework, or architectural hardware industries.

Experience with frameless shower enclosures and custom glass installations.
-
Product-specific certifications or licenses required by national, state, or local codes.

Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain required manufacturer or product certifications.

Familiarity with a broad range of Gatsby Glass product offerings and installation methods.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this position, the employee must regularly be able to:

Stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, reach, push, pull, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.

Safely use hands and arms to handle glass, tools, equipment, and installation materials.

Lift, carry, move, position, and hold materials weighing approximately 50 pounds or more, with assistance when appropriate.

Demonstrate close, distance, peripheral, depth, and color vision.

Work safely from ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and other elevated work areas.

Work in unusual or restricted environments including crawl spaces, attics, above ceilings, and around wires, ducts, and other building components.

Drive a company motor vehicle during daytime and evening hours, including for extended periods.

Work a full-time, flexible schedule and travel locally or on short notice as project needs require.
