Your Role
As a Journeyman Electrician, you’ll install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in accordance with national, state, and local codes — ensuring the highest standards of safety and performance. You’ll work on a variety of projects, including power distribution, lighting, controls, and specialized electrical installations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and institutional settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and single-line diagrams.
- Measure, cut, bend, and install conduit, wire, and cable systems.
- Terminate wires and troubleshoot circuits, panels, and control systems.
- Verify system compliance and functionality after installation.
- Build and install control panels per design specifications.
- Collaborate effectively with foremen and crew members to meet project deadlines.
- Maintain strict adherence to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Mentor and assist apprentice electricians as needed.
What You’ll Bring
- Current Journeyman Electrician or Wireman License (required in applicable jurisdictions).
- 3+ years of commercial or industrial electrical experience.
- Ability to install and maintain power systems, lighting, security, and data networks.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting electrical faults and conducting control panel work.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage material needs and contribute to project efficiency.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs., and perform repetitive hand/arm movements.
- Comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces.
- Able to distinguish color-coded wires and maintain focus in active jobsite environments.
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
