TechChefs is hiring a Lead Commercial Service Electrician to run a service truck performing electrical service and repairs across north Texas.
We are a locally owned electrical contractor based in Duncanville specializing in commercial service work for restaurants, retail stores, warehouses, schools, and other commercial facilities — including panel repairs and replacements, lighting repairs, electrical troubleshooting, signage power, equipment installations, and other general electrical service work.
***This is primarily troubleshooting and service work — not large construction projects or repetitive rough-in work.
If you enjoy troubleshooting problems, interacting with customers, and running your own service truck, this is a great role.
Compensation & Benefits
- $80,000 – $100,000 total compensation potential
- Base pay + monthly performance bonuses
- Bonuses typically range $800–$1,500 per month

What You'll Do
- Run a service truck responding to 1–5 commercial service calls per day
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using meters and diagnostic skills
- Repair panels, transformers, lighting, circuits, contactors, signage power, and other misc. equipment
- Communicate clearly with customers about issues and solutions
- Perform occasional smaller installation projects
Most work is commercial service work — very little attic crawling. Mostly popping ceiling tiles and working with MC or EMT.
Requirements
- Texas Journeyman Electrician License
- Experience running service calls independently
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Strong troubleshooting ability
- Good communication with customers and team
Additional Details
- Start time 7:30 AM at our Duncanville shop
- On-call rotation about once every 5 weeks with overtime pay
