Critter Craze Control LLC is a licensed, Black woman-owned wildlife and pest control company serving Chicagoland. We are hiring a Wildlife & Pest Control Technician and investing in the right person from day one.
We don't spray and leave. We find how the animal got in, remove it, repair the structural damage, and seal the entry point so the problem doesn't come back. Our work combines licensed wildlife management with real construction and exclusion repair work.
THE QUICK FACTS
- $18 to $22 per hour to start, $28.50 per hour at 90 days based on written benchmarks
- $750 signing bonus at day 45
- IRS mileage reimbursement at $0.725 per mile, 100% tax-free
- Hours start at 20 to 25 per week, grow to full-time at 90 days
- 5 days per week with 6th day overtime available

THE SHIFT TRAINING PROGRAM
SHIFT stands for Strategic Habits In Field Techniques. It is CCC's proprietary 80-hour paid training program that transitions skilled tradespeople into licensed pest control professionals. Four hours of Zoom training per day combined with four hours of real field work, on a schedule that works for you. You must obtain your Illinois IDPH and IDNR licenses within 90 days. CCC advances all exam fees and reimburses them in full upon passing.
You arrive with construction skills. You leave with a specialized, licensed career.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Conduct thorough written property assessments on every job
- Photograph every phase: arrival conditions, work in progress, completed results
- Report all field findings clearly to the operations manager. All client communication handled centrally.
- Set and manage traps for squirrels, raccoons, bats, and other wildlife
- Install one-way exclusion doors and wildlife exit devices
- Seal entry points using steel mesh, hardware cloth, caulk, and roof sealant
- Patch drywall, install plywood, and complete structural repairs at entry sites
- Work at height on ladders and rooflines safely and confidently
- Work in attics, crawlspaces, and confined areas
- Work independently on solo assignments and alongside teammates on larger jobs
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Hands-on construction, carpentry, roofing, trades, or handyman experience. Required.
- Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle. Required.
- Clean background check and motor vehicle record. Required.
- Ability to obtain Illinois IDPH and IDNR licenses within 90 days. Required.
- Disciplined documentation habits. No photo, no proof.
- Works confidently independently and in team settings
- Takes company pride seriously. Your work represents CCC and the community we serve.
