We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various construction and renovation projects. Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, schematics, and blueprints.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute project requirements.
- Work with low voltage and high voltage systems in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards to ensure safety and compliance.
- Use testing equipment such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues and verify system integrity.
- Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate electrical work during renovation and new construction projects.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including incident reports and inspection logs.
- Follow all safety protocols related to industrial and commercial electrical work, including working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation systems.
Skills
- Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams essential for accurate installation and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage wiring, and high voltage systems.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment safely and effectively.
- Construction site experience with the ability to adapt quickly to changing environments while maintaining quality standards.
- Knowledge of NEC regulations governing electrical installations for safety compliance.
