Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician or 4th Year Electrical Apprentice to join our traveling team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of electrical systems and be proficient in various electrical tasks, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. This role requires a commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. This position requires a willingness to work on projects across state lines and a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and quality craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in compliance with NEC and local codes
- Pull wire, bend and install conduit, set panels, outlets, and lighting systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics
- Troubleshoot and perform basic diagnostics on electrical issues
- Maintain a clean and organized work site
- Follow company safety standards and job-site procedures
- Complete documentation such as time sheets and material logs
- Travel to out-of-state job sites with overnight stays as required
- Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations.
- Work with low voltage systems as required for specific projects.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on renovation projects that may involve frame carpentry or maintenance person tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Journeyperson Electrician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including logic controllers and low voltage applications.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics related to electrical installations.
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in the electrical trade.
- Ability to perform renovations that may require additional skills such as frame carpentry.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Valid electrician's license or certification as required by local regulations.
Required Qualifications:
- Licensed Journeyman Electrician or Registered 4th Year Electrical Apprentice
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Valid U.S. Passport or Real ID (required for travel)
- Willing and able to travel out of state for work (project-based)
- Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs and working in various conditions
- Strong work ethic and dependability
- Basic understanding of the NEC and job site electrical safety
Preferred Qualifications:
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification
- Experience on multi-state or industrial/commercial job sites
