Job Overview
We at Delta Bravo are currently hiring Journeyman across DFW. A Journeyman works under the guidance of a Foreman or Superintendent and may oversee and direct the work of a crew of 1 to 4 helpers or apprentices in installations, alterations, additions, and/or repair of electrical systems, conductors, and associated materials and equipment on any type of project.
Duties
- Interprets drawings and develops an overall crew work plan.
- Lays out work and preps materials for installation.
- Does rigging and job set ups for all tasks performed or supervised.
- Performs underground layout and rough-in.
- Determines wire and conduit sizing.
- Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs electrical conduit using measuring devices, hand tools, threaders and hand or mechanical benders.
- Installs feeders.
- Installs and connects power supply wiring, cables, conduit, and electrical apparatus in new and existing facilities following diagrams, schematics, or blueprints.
- Troubleshoots and resolves problems in electrical circuits, systems, and equipment.
- Operates any hand tools and equipment necessary to perform all associated tasks.
- Understands and instructs assigned helpers in the safe operation of tools, use of equipment, electrical principles, and applicable codes.
- Performs other project related duties and assignments as instructed by supervisor.
- Meets attendance standards and complies with late/absence notification procedures.
- Bend and install 3” or greater conduit.
- Terminate inside of Transformers, Switchgears, Generators and UP’s, Lighting control panel and Control Panels.
- Determine size of pull box or J-box based on wires inside or passing through.
- Maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
- Assist other employees as needed.
- Inspect jobs upon completion for quality, safety, and cleanliness.
- Maintain good working relationships with team.
- Observe safe work practices and follow safety procedures. Assist team in maintaining a safe work environment. Implement safety procedures and precautions.
Requirements
- Valid journeyman electrician license or certification demonstrating proven experience in the field
- Extensive industrial electrician experience with a focus on automation and PLC systems
- Commercial electrician experience preferred for large-scale building projects
- Proficiency with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical documentation
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment
- Construction site experience with a focus on safety protocols and efficient project execution
- Familiarity with NEC standards and local electrical codes for safe installation practices
- Ability to perform renovation work involving framing carpentry or handyman skills as needed
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance tasks

Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour
