What you’ll do
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters to ensure proper functionality.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute projects accurately.
- Work with logic controllers to integrate automated systems into existing electrical frameworks.
- Ensure all work complies with NEC standards and local building codes.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to complete projects efficiently and safely.
- Have knowledge of all electrical systems.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices or less experienced electricians.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively while maintaining a safe work environment.
- Provide maintenance person services as needed, applying your diverse skill set in frame carpentry and low voltage installations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Experience
- 4-5 years of proven experience as an electrician in both commercial and industrial settings is essential.
- Familiarity with high voltage systems and low voltage applications is preferred.
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, safety regulations, and best practices.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics with confidence.
- Experience working on construction sites is a must; familiarity with renovation projects is a plus.
- Hands-on experience using various hand tools and power tools in a safe manner.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with excellent communication skills.
- Must have current Journeyman License
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $33.00 - $37.00 per hour
