We're a growing / family-owned / 20+-year electrical contractor in DFW running both residential service and commercial work. We're looking for a licensed Journeyman who treats every call as a chance to win a customer for life — diagnose the problem, present the right fix in ServiceTitan Mobile, and close the work on the spot.
If you can sell the job, you'll out-earn flat-rate journeymen by a wide margin here. If you enjoy talking to customers, this position is for you.
What You'll Be Doing
- Win the customer first. You're the face of our company at the door. A great diagnosis and a clear, honest conversation is what turns a $200 service call into a $4,000 panel upgrade — and a one-time customer into someone who calls us for the next 10 years.
- Build estimates in ServiceTitan Mobile in front of the customer using good/better/best pricing. We use ServiceTitan for dispatch, work orders, estimating, invoicing, and customer history — your tablet is your office.
- Roll up to residential service calls: diagnose a tripped panel, swap a failing breaker, install a Tesla charger.
- Run commercial service work: tenant improvements, panel upgrades, lighting retrofits, troubleshoot a building's electrical headache
- Pull permits, work with inspectors, sign off on your own work
- Train and supervise an apprentice on bigger jobs
- Run your truck like a small business — stocked, organized, and ready
Who We're Looking For
- Texas Journeyman Electrician License (TDLR) — current and in good standing
- 2+ years in the trade post-license, with real experience in residential service (not new-construction-only)
- Comfortable diagnosing on a service call without a senior tech standing over you
- Comfortable selling. You can walk a homeowner through good/better/best options on an iPad and explain their solutions clearly
- ServiceTitan Mobile fluency — you've used (or can quickly pick up) ServiceTitan to build your scope/estimates, present pricing, take payment, and deliver the invoice in front of the customer; Paid quickly which means you get paid quickly
- Valid TX driver's license, clean MVR (you'll drive a company truck daily)
What You'll Get
- $30–$38/hour depending on experience and the work mix you bring
- Commissions and spiffs on closed work — you sell it, you earn on it. Panel upgrades, EV chargers, surge protectors, generator hookups, whole-home rewires. Strong sales-techs in DFW clear $100K+/year on this model. Top performers add $15,000–$40,000 on top of base.

Schedule
Monday–Friday, 7am–4pm. Rotating Saturday on-call with after-hours premium pay.
